About

Safiuchi is a multimedia artist, architectural designer, and podcaster. Born in Bellingham and raised in Deming, Washington, she is Tlingit and Shxwha:y, with her band based in Chilliwack, BC. Her work moves through expressive charcoal on raw canvas, acrylics, printmaking, collagraphs, murals, and refractive photography.

The “i” is her visual anchor for a journey through site demolition, chaos, and the raw labor of healing: breaking down what no longer holds, and rebuilding from what’s true. Moving between charcoal and refractive photography, she invites you to look beyond the symmetry of the surface.

In her collagraphs, she builds each plate by hand from fabric, feathers, and bark, then inks it and pulls the print. Her style is expressionist and layered, with bold, expressive lines.
